Sales & Account Manager

atHostmaker

As the Sales & Account Manager for Bangkok, you will be reporting to the GM Bangkok and working with our local team leaders to help us grow our portfolio of properties, manage our clients as well as corporate sales & partnerships. You will work with new & existing key & customers to ensure they are extremely happy & successful at Hostmaker. They will on-board these customers onto our platform, add-value in the early stages & future, & build the relationship to create the highest level of customer satisfaction.

  • Have the overall responsibility over quantity of our listings: qualified leads generated, conversion, and growth rate, are your KPIs.
  • Lead a team to achieve objectives that are various from revenue growth to branding.
  • Always keep awareness in property and related businesses and conduct regular market research to analyze and initiate suitable strategies.
  • Perform lead sourcing, commercial negotiation, and conversion.
  • Manage all the sales process autonomously from the beginning to the end, and do it lightning fast.
  • Collaborate with and support our General Manager for multi-year plans for corporate growth, performance and evolution.
  • Manage special client initiatives and lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Manage and increase sales through key account management and business development with a focus on strengthening relationships with relocation agencies and international western companies.
  • Be closely involved in the hiring, training and development of our junior and supervisory level teams to ensure we continue to hit high standards in our existing and new markets.
  • Maintain a strong relationship and actively manage communication with our key hosts/agency accounts. Truly understand the value of fostering customer relationships & engage with members post-sale, creatively add value throughout lifecycle, & ultimately increase retention while reducing churn. Serving customer delight is out top goal!
  • Develop a community within the client network i.e. build a community forum, design host events and attend relevant industry events.
  • Act as the voice for clients at Hostmaker, providing feedback to improve the experience, quantify the level of impact on product gaps/feature requests, and work with the GM and central team in Bangkok to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support to the Account Management team by working with different departments to prioritize high level items & escalated issues.
  • You have 3-5 years of progressive experience in a sales / account management role at a fast growing technology startup.
  • You possess a strong academic background: a Bachelor's degree (2:1 or higher). MBA or relevant MSc from a top tier school is a plus.
  • You are a sales ninja. But you take pride in your work, in Hostmaker's product and will sell the right product to the right customer.
  • You are also a remarkable leader able to engage and inspire a diverse team of people to follow your lead and perform at a high caliber.
  • Demonstrable competencies in recruiting, strategic planning, business development, and data analysis of performance and operational metrics.
  • You have strong presentation skills, and excellent communication skills – fluent English & Thai is essential, Japanese or Mandarin is a plus.
  • You possess exceptional attention to detail which you'll demonstrate in your application by mentioning your favourite travel destination.
  • You appreciate that, in a startup, time is money, and you'll demonstrate it by sending a CV in pdf that is one page long, no more.
  • You love to execute fast and get things done! Be ready to be hands-on with all aspects of the needs of the team.
  • You can think outside the box, innovate and wants to do things differently. When the tide is changing, you can adjust to the needs of the team, the client or the business strategy.
  • You love working in a team and will work towards building a great team that is receptive to new ideas and feedback.
