Job Summary

Offer advice on legal matters particularly relating to BU Specific contract matters.

General Responsibilities

• Review, reviseand provide comments on the BU's Contracts and documents.
• Handle discussions on legal issues with the BU's senior position levels and provide any legal and business advice required by them.
• Participate in the legal analysis discussions and business strategy plan required from time to time by the BU team.
• Implement any new legal initiatives as agreed within the Legal Department.
• Develop the BU's standard contract templates.

Functional Skills and Knowledge

• Broad based knowledge of general commercial and contract law, corporate law, regulatory law and policy.
• Knowledge of regulations and laws impacting the BU specific industry.
• Basic knowledge of BU specific industry trends, legislative initiatives and impact on the Company.
• Ability to form strong relationships with clients, while maintaining independence and professional integrity.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with internal partners and third parties.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to individuals at various levels of the organization.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.

Education

• Master’s degree in Law.
• At least 5 year experience working in a law firm and/or in-house corporate legal department.
• Experience working within the BU specific industry e.g. consumer goods, pharmaceutical is a plus.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams that successfully met business goals while maintaining strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
