UX Researcher

The UX research role is a critical part of creating user backed digital products and services, planning and executing research activities to derive important insights and implications to support the business strategy and digital product design
- Advocates for user-centered design solutions
- Can work with external agencies and internal team to plan and execute user research (quant and qual)
- Manages inputs from various sources (i.e. customer interviews, surveys etc.) and then synthesis data
- Can derive meaningful insights and implications based on data, and share with relevant departments through workshops, reports and research repository
- Can plan, manage and run concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve design solutions
- Actively collaborates as part of an agile team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately
- Has understanding of user experience metrics and how to track and report on the success of various improvements
Requirements :
- Can collate data from multiple sources to derive meaningful insights and implications for product and other departments
- Able to plan, conduct, and synthesize user research
- Strong understanding of various research methodologies (qual and quant)
- Retail knowledge and enthusiasm is a plus
- Hands-on experience working on digital products and or services
- Proven experience working in design teams in an Agile product development setting
- Experience planning and conducting user research at various stages of the design process
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate the value of a design choice to users and non-designer stakeholders
- Creative problem solving and analytical thinking
- Able to produce insightful research reports in a fast-paced environment
- Synthesizes abstract ideas into tangible solutions for design
- Is passionate about problem solving through design
- Sees value in taking an iterative design approach
- Has a strong sense of ownership and proactively advocates for the end user
- Open to taking on new challenges and learning new skills
- Collaborative, curious, empathetic, open-minded, innovative
