Get to Know our Team:
Agoda is seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Leader to drive our Competitor Defense initiatives across Asia. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for safeguarding Agoda's market position, proactively countering competitive threats, and ensuring our offerings remain the top choice for travelers. You will collaborate across departments to develop and execute defense strategies, leveraging data, market intelligence, and innovative tactics to stay ahead in a dynamic and fast-evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
Competitor Intelligence & Market Defense
Continuously monitor and analyze competitor activities, market trends, and emerging threats across all key markets.
Develop and implement robust competitor defense strategies to protect and grow Agoda's market share.
Identify and respond to competitive moves with agility, leveraging data and insights to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
Supply & Partner Relations
Strengthen relationships with key property partners to secure exclusive deals, preferred listings, and loyalty programs that differentiate Agoda from competitors.
Collaborate with partners to enhance offerings and ensure Agoda remains the preferred platform for travelers.
Pricing & Value Proposition
Design and execute pricing strategies that neutralize competitive threats and reinforce Agoda's value proposition.
Continuously assess and optimize pricing models to maintain a competitive edge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Data teams to align on defense strategies and ensure unified execution.
Lead cross-functional task forces to address urgent competitive challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
Customer Insights & Retention
Gather and analyze feedback from travelers to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
Develop targeted retention initiatives and loyalty programs to reduce churn and increase repeat bookings.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
Define, track, and report on key defense-related KPIs, including market share, win/loss rates, and customer retention.
- Adjust strategies based on performance data and competitive intelligence.
Qualifications/Experience
Must Have
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to defend and grow market share in competitive environments.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing competitor defense strategies.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and market intelligence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience in consulting, senior e-commerce, or strategy roles.
Senior leadership experience in travel, hospitality, or related industries.
Deep understanding of the online travel or e-commerce competitive landscape.
- Fluency in an Asian language is a plus.
