Department Manager - Category Management (Fresh Food)
atCP Axtra PCL (Lotus's)Key Responsibility:
1) Category Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with fresh business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, customer demand, and platform data to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize online & offline experience.
2) Assortment & Product Management
- Curate balanced assortment (core, seasonal, innovation, exclusives).
- Manage product onboarding, lifecycle, and rationalization.
- Define pricing & promo mechanics to achieve margin and volume targets.
3) Promotion & Campaign Planning
- Plan and execute category-specific promotions & campaigns (e.g., Fresh Festival, Weekend Deals).
- Work with Marketing & eCommerce to drive traffic and conversion.
- Monitor campaign ROI and continuously optimize.
4) Vendor & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers & farmers.
- Negotiate trading terms, pricing, rebates, and promotional support.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
5) Performance & Shrinkage Monitoring
- Track sales, margin, wastage, and availability metrics.
- Prepare category reports with insights and actionable recommendations.
- Drive initiatives to reduce shrinkage and improve fulfillment.
6) Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure freshness, on-time replenishment, and right allocation.
- Work with Operations to improve display standards, store execution, and customer experience.
- Act as key contact between online and offline teams for Fresh category integration.
Qualifications:
- Category Management – Understanding of fresh product lifecycle, assortment planning, and merchandising.
- E-commerce & O2O Knowledge – Familiarity with online platforms, delivery flow, and digital campaigns.
- Data Analysis – Ability to interpret sales, margin, shrinkage, and shopper insights to drive actions.
- Vendor Management – Strong in negotiation, sourcing, and building supplier partnerships.
- Promotion & Campaign Planning – Skill in creating and executing effective fresh promotions.
- Pricing & Margin Management – Knowledge of competitive pricing, waste control, and margin optimization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Effective coordination with Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing.
- Communication Skills – Clear and persuasive communication in Thai & English.
- Problem-solving & Agility – Ability to adapt quickly in fast-moving fresh market dynamics.
- Leadership – 3–7 years’ experience in category management, fresh retail, or FMCG; strong people management is a plus.
