Communications Manager - Grab Thailand

The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and online influencers, policymakers, industry commentators or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.
The Communications team is a strategic partner and solution provider to the multiple business functions in Grab - to help them drive their business objectives. The team ensures that internal and external stakeholders understand and support Grab's vision and business strategy, including corporate partnerships, new products, partner programmes, marketing campaigns and internal programmes.
He/She is expected to have experiences in policy communications, possess strong understanding of the media landscape in Thailand, and will build and maintain relationships with key media contacts pivotal for the business. Experience with managing crises and issues is advantageous.
Proactively promote stories and pursue other publicity opportunities that are advantageous to Grab through various communications tools such as press releases, thought leadership articles, messaging, interviews, speaking opportunities, etc.
Create high impact media stories and programmes that help educate key stakeholders, including press, policymakers and public on Grab's mission for Thailand.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with influential local media and KOLs in Thailand.
Mitigate reputational risks or negative impacts of incidents affecting Grab while managing the response to incidents, issues or crisis situations.
Manage the PR agency according to agreed communication plan and set budget.
Analyse metrics to determine the output and value of PR/communication results and use the data to build on communications plan.
8 - 10 years of communications or related experience in PR, corporate reputation management, public affairs, consumer marketing, crisis communications or issues management.
Possess strong relationships with editors/reporters of top-tier media, KOLs and thought leaders.
Proven experience in policy communications or public communication campaigns.
Strong writing and story-telling skills.
Excellent command of Thailand and English (written and spoken).
Preferred.
Experience in consumer technology sector.
Experience in a fast-growth company and challenging work environment.
Experience working as journalist or in strategic communications and public affairs consultancy.
Good-to-have.
Knowledgeable in social media, integrated marketing communications.
Experience working in a MNC or regional/global team.
