Solution Specialist

atChevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd.
  • Ensure that application development is carried out in a consistent and customer focused manner using Company best practices and processes in support of IT Projects (ensuring standard architectures for data, application, infrastructure are followed)
  • Provide solution and application consulting services as well as maintain excellent communications with end users.
  • Capture and analyzes business requirements at a project level.
  • Understand and apply the analysis of functional requirements to the development of systems proposals, specifications and recommendations for efficient, cost effective technology solutions
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making and manage data cleansing.
  • Perform application configuration, or code changes to accommodate new requirements following IT change management process.
  • Perform Unit, Integration, and System testing
  • Maintain application software programs as well as add-on software modules and provide application enhancement and special/custom reports related to data requirements.
  • Accountable for ensuring system compliance with Company and IT policies and standards related to information security, data management, application administration and infrastructure administration
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • years or more of work experience as IT System Analyst
  • Experience with Software Development using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET C#, LINQ, PL/SQL, Microsoft VBA (macro), and ASP.net is required.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL or Oracle is required
  • Experience with TIBCO Spotfire or similar data visualization software is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server is preferred
