Manager, Assortment Planning, Thailand

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Owner of holistic Store Format Plans to populate and deploy key concepts in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed Range Architech (RA) - by category, by product type, by month, by price cluster - for Thailand using 3 years historical analysis and inputs, Global and APAC BU Strategy
  • Define total RA - inline and exclusives at channels and Key Account level
  • Collect bottom up Seasonal, Quarterly, and Monthly RA and consolidate by Category & Channel
  • Create Seasonal, Quarterly, and Monthly Top-Down RA through 3 years historical analysis by Category & Channel
  • Track and analyze sell-through data to ensure fact-based decision making for CTC
  • Own, Track, Analyze and Report Market range overlap
  • Analyze pricing and support price harmonization with fact base input to category planning
  • Provide feedback / input to CTC team on current and future range structure
  • Combine/validate category assortment plans from CTC category planning, and finalize into a holistic, full wholesale store formats including BLR assortment plan (width only)
  • Sense-check, feedback and confirm the final output of each wholesale store format against brand and commercial objectives (product type, launch flow, marketing calendar, mandatory range, retail space, consumer journey, etc.)
  • Output all merchandising boards for all formats with a special focus on Global Key Accounts
  • Handover assortment plans to VM Prep for output of VM renderings and wholesale Channel for store level planning and depth completion.
  • Deliver category assortment plan presentations at Seasonal Sales Summit and provide material and support for Sales Training, Account Pre-lines, Trade Meeting
  • Sample merchandising / Management together with CTC Category and VM for Sales Training, Account Pre-lines, Trade Meeting
  • Sell-In & Sell-Through tracking & analysis

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years' experience in range management/product, marketing, sales/retail required. Regional experience preferred.
  • Good communication skill in English & Thai, both written and verbal with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficient in Ms. Excel, Presentation skill and communications skills
  • More than 2 years' experience in data analysis, MIS, or business reporting. Retail business knowledge is an advantage
  • Understanding Database Concepts, procedure and excellent in data analytic tools (e.g. Excel, Access, Power BI, SQL, VBA, etc.)
  • Using tools to extract & analyse data (especially SQL, Excel Macro, etc.)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and target setting
  • Passion for data-driven continuous quality improvement and organizational change
