Habitat for Humanity International seeks an intern in Asia-Pacific to support the Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter programming on a part time basis based in Bangkok, Thailand. 

You are a creative, detail oriented individual looking to learn something new in the international development sector. You are flexible and adaptable to fill gaps and assist the team. You are a team player and know that to do a task well, you may need to reach out and consult others. Your day might start scouting venues and planning logistics for the next global meeting in Thailand. Next, you might compile desk research on the ecosystem ahead of a new program launch. Finally, you may also write social media posts and scout ideas for amplifying our message. Each day will be different, but this role will provide exposure to a wide variety of skills and skill building opportunities.

This role will expose you to the world of international development, using a private-sector driven approach, that believes in the power of inclusive business models. You are excited to learn more about entrepreneurship and impact investment in emerging markets. You are interested in the role that applying a gender lens plays in furthering these agendas. This role will give you broad understanding of these themes, as well as offer skill building opportunities including project coordination, communication. This role is based in Bangkok and will report to the Associate Director, Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter, Asia-Pacific.

Position Description
** Day to day work involves supporting the Associate Director, Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter with special projects in the Asia- Pacific region. 
** Assist in communications with stakeholders; helping to create invites, announcements, social media posts for upcoming Terwilliger Center events throughout the region. 
** Assist in compiling an ecosystem map, using primarily secondary research.
** Provides event support by managing event logistics including sourcing and managing suppliers, venues and managing meeting/event details. 
** Provides general support for our ongoing initiatives, supporting the team on other various administration activities.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience
** An undergraduate student or recent graduate majoring in Entrepreneurship, Communication, Journalism, Marketing and Public Relations, International Relations, International Development Studies, Business Administration or similar;
** Creative and detail oriented;
** Excels at organization, time management 
** Excellent communication skills, and must have a strong command of English 
** Proactive;
** Excellent interpersonal skills, energy and initiative;
** Basic Microsoft Office knowledge - Word, Excel, Power Point;
** Interested in working in the entrepreneurship and social business sector;
** Experience working with other cultures (cross-cultural communication skills) is recommended - this is a regional/global team;
** Knowledge of communication or design tools, social media management, media relations or events management is a plus.

Details About the Role
** Six-month contract – 20-30 hours a week (full-time)/ alternate options can be pursued with the right candidate
** The work is located in Bangkok at Hive co-working space in Thonglor and remote
** Remuneration to be provided for transportation and data connectivity costs. Candidate must be willing to provider their own laptop
