Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading one or more analysts is responsible for managing, delivering, analyzing and reviewing IFRS results in business support, financial reporting and control, financial planning, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Business support
- Conduct experience studies assigned with impact analysis in place and propose assumptions with justifications documented.
- Review IFRS product assessment results, assumptions and pricing metrics for new products by applying the FWD Group’s IFRS practical application guidance notes.
Financial reporting and control
- Deliver IFRS production and disclosure of a high quality and within the agreed timeline.
- Provide user requirements for various data, systems and processes, and conduct user acceptance tests and impact reasonableness assessments to ensure results are compliant with model governance.
- Demonstrate actuarial expertise and support on the design, development and implementation of a robust and efficient IFRS solution that engages optimizations in the target operating and reporting processes.
- Provide sufficient controls throughout the valuation processes and results.
Financial planning and analysis
- Manage IFRS business planning and forecasting with key analytics functions within agreed timeline.
- Seek to explain the drivers of the comparative numbers between IFRS and other reporting bases through the actuarial bridging analysis.
- Conduct deep dive analysis that explains experience variances and trends to support STI achievements.
- Report operating profit at risk through various sensitivity and scenario testing.
Others
- Communicate key financial results and analysis to the major stakeholders.
- Act as an IFRS expert to provide consultancy service to different business units.
- Ensure an appropriate level of traceability and documentations of delivery in place.
Baseline Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Actuarial Science or related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in life insurance actuarial role.
- Having experience in IFRS17.
- At least 1 actuarial exam pass is preferred.
- Good command in English both verbal and written.
- Proactive, Open, Caring, Commit, Innovative.
