System Engineer
atMajor Cineplex Group Plc.- Design, implement and tuning system running on VMWare platform, AWS, Linux Redhat and CentOS
- Support daily operation and incident resolution
- Seek root cause of problem and find solution to prevent
- Participate in infrastructure design and roadmap
- Improve system stability and its availability
- Identify the bottleneck or critical factor/parameter which impact to system capacity
- Work with application development team to ensure application can up and run smoothly
- Find open source software or solution to reduce human error and improve productivity
- Bachelor's Degree or Master in IT Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or any IT related fields.
- At least 2 years of windows and vmware system administrator experience
- Experience in performance tuning, capacity management, system troubleshooting, system hardening and patching as well as implementing system clustering
- Experience in VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5, SRM, Vcenter operation manager, Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Clustering and Group Policy management
- Experience in Linux Redhat, CentOS
- CI/CD knowledge such as redshift, jenkin, kubernetes in preferable
- Having Experience in managing middleware or MS-SQL server would be advantage
- Preferred Certifications: MCITP, VCP, ITIL, MCSE,
- Ability to write shell script, use and update scripts to automate daily operations
- Ability and flexibility to support and manage 7 X 24 Production as well as the other testing environments
- Ability to troubleshoot issues outside of operating system area (Middleware, Network, Database, SAN,..) would be a advantage
- Working knowledge of SAN, NAS, storage technologies
- Basic networking experience; routing, switches, and common IP port usage
