Position Summary

The

Joint Venture Management Manager

is responsible for overseeing the performance, governance, and strategic alignment of the company's joint venture (JV) portfolio. This role serves as the primary liaison between the corporate headquarters and JV partners, ensuring effective communication, financial performance, governance compliance, business growth, and successful execution of strategic initiatives. The position requires close collaboration with shareholders, executive management, and cross-functional teams to maximize the value and profitability of each JV company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Joint Venture Portfolio Management

Manage and monitor the overall performance of assigned joint venture companies.

Ensure JV operations are aligned with corporate objectives and shareholder expectations.

Review business performance, operational issues, and strategic initiatives across all JV companies.

Support business sustainability and long-term partnership development.

  • Business Performance & Financial Analysis

Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Monitor revenue, profitability, investment performance, and key financial indicators.

Prepare executive reports with business insights and strategic recommendations.

Identify risks, business opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Joint Venture Agreements, corporate governance policies, and applicable regulations.

Coordinate Board of Directors, Shareholders', and Executive Committee meetings.

Review corporate documents, board resolutions, and governance matters.

Monitor legal and regulatory compliance across JV companies.

  • Strategic Planning & Business Development

Support strategic planning and annual business planning processes.

Evaluate expansion opportunities, new investments, and strategic partnerships.

Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and business case evaluations.

Identify growth opportunities and improve competitiveness.

  • Stakeholder & Partner Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with JV partners, shareholders, customers, and senior executives.

Act as the key communication bridge between headquarters and JV companies.

Facilitate alignment on strategic decisions and business priorities.

Manage cross-cultural communication, particularly with Japanese and international partners.

  • Board Meeting & Executive Reporting

Prepare executive presentations, business performance reports, and strategic updates.

Coordinate Board and shareholder meetings, including agendas, meeting materials, and minutes.

Present business performance, investment status, and strategic recommendations to executive management.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, HR, and Legal teams.

Coordinate implementation of corporate initiatives across JV companies.

Support issue resolution and decision-making involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Risk Management & Internal Control

Identify business, operational, financial, and compliance risks.

Monitor risk mitigation plans and internal control effectiveness.

Support internal audits and corrective action implementation.

Promote best practices in governance and operational excellence.

  • Project & Corporate Initiatives

Lead corporate projects related to joint venture optimization and business transformation.

Monitor project progress, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across JV companies.

Support digital transformation and reporting automation.
