Network/Telecoms Design Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join our Siemens Mobility team. Based in Bangkok. The key aspect of the role is analyzing and report on regulatory matters concerning procedures and product regulatory aspects. The ideal candidate adopts a systematic approach throughout all phases of the lifecycle of a railway application and will be able to:
What are my responsibilities?
- Create, modify and review BIM models using suitable authoring and checking tools
- Deliver 3D models which meet client requirements and client, industry and corporate standards
- Use and populate the relevant Common Data Environment (Bentley ProjectWise) on projects
- Deliver 3D models as specified by the 3D modelling lead or directly from the project or tender team.
- Gives guidance and technical advice in order to develop others.
- Competent in using one or more software applications in each of the following categories:
- Common Data Environments: Bentley ProjectWise, Bentley AssetWise
- 3D modelling: Bentley AECOsim, Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRail Designer
- Continually seeks to improve skills through independent training, conferences and workshops.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Systems or relevant field.
- Competent in using one or more software applications in each of the following categories:
- 4D modelling: Bentley Synchro Pro
- 3D modelling: Solidworks
- 2D modelling: AutoCAD
- Geospatial: ArcGIS
- Deliver 4D models as specified by the 3D modelling lead or directly from the project or tender team.
- Working knowledge of engineering practice and standards (either telecoms or signalling)
- Working knowledge of current health, safety and environment legislation.
