Responsibilities

• Build wireframes to conceptualize design
• Proven understanding of UI design best practices
• Perform the design, development, testing, deployment, and implementation of WordPress/PHP solutions and other internet software applications
• Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing web-based software and application
• Troubleshoot and debug code, including user and system interface functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy enhancements and technical solutions that meet the needs of the organization and end users
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technology to optimize software and application efficiency and usability
• Maintain records to document technical and functional developments and revisions
• Mentor team members with continued skill development and education to develop and support technologies involved in providing solutions

Skills

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS. LESS or SASS experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with PHP
• Proficiency with JavaScript
• Experience in Wordpress CMS platforms.
• Proficiency using GIT for source control.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Sketch

Experiences:

• Ability to work independently and self-manage, being mindful of deadlines.
• Experience creating rich front end experiences that are mobile first and responsive.
• Well-versed in building Wordpress themes.
• Experience integrating with other 3rd party services.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience with writing to latest standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JS.
• 3+ years of experience working with PHP and MySQL.
• 2+ years of experience building Wordpress sites.
