IT Project Management Department Manager

to lead enterprise IT and AI initiatives in the

financial services and leasing industry

, driving digital transformation, project governance, and successful execution of strategic technology programs.

Job Description :

Lead and oversee the IT Project Management Department, ensuring successful delivery of strategic IT and digital transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Manage the enterprise IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives, optimizing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to expected quality standards.

Establish and continuously improve IT project management governance, methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to enhance delivery effectiveness.

Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into project roadmaps and drive successful execution.

Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and budgets, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Lead, coach, and develop the project management team, fostering a high-performance culture and strengthening project management capabilities across the organization.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline project delivery, improve operational efficiency, and adopt industry best practices.

Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.

Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and IT policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Undertake other strategic initiatives and special assignments as delegated by management.

AI Strategy Alignment & Planning: Drive the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives into the overall IT project roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic goals.

AI Project Execution & Development: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML development and deployment, managing cross-functional teams of data scientists, data engineers, and software developers to ensure high-quality delivery.

AI Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce AI governance frameworks, including ethical AI standards, data privacy compliance, risk assessment, and algorithmic accountability across all enterprise AI projects.

AI Adoption & Change Management: Act as a strategic advisor to foster AI adoption across business units, identifying high-impact AI use cases while building capability and awareness within the project management team.

Qualification :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Operations Management, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Project Management, PMO, or related functions, including 3–5 years in a leadership or people management role.

Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional IT projects and managing multiple initiatives from planning through successful implementation.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK, Scrum) with experience driving project governance and delivery excellence.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage risks, priorities, and project performance effectively.

Experience in the leasing, banking, financial services, or automotive finance industry is an advantage.

Proficiency in both Thai and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid experience in managing and delivering AI/ML, Data Analytics, or Advanced Automation projects from concept to production.

Strong understanding of AI project lifecycles, lifecycle dependencies (e.g., data preparation, model training, evaluation, deployment), and agile delivery for data-centric projects.

Familiarity with AI Governance, AI Ethics, Data Governance frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements surrounding data and AI technologies.

Ability to act as a bridge between technical AI development teams and non-technical business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business value.
