As a Director of IT systems, you will be responsible for a suite of enterprise web and mobile applications, Micro Services, APIs, Integration, Social Plugins hosted in both on-premise data center and public cloud, performing enhancements including both business change requests as well as production defect fixes, and manage project and program delivery to deliver new business capabilities. Business capabilities will be in both ecommerce and last mile delivery space.

This role mandates strong technical leadership with in-depth of logistics, eCommerce, last mile domain knowledge and IT technical expertise, as well as strong business management skills to ensure prioritization and delivery of IT capabilities translating to maximum business values. The role covers Digitalisation of core services and onboarding new capabilities onto the Digital Core Architecture framework.

Candidate Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading, directing and managing squads, in collaboration with business units, to meet the expectations of each business unit, with an aim of either to increase revenue/defecting competition, or to optimize operations, and/or to reduce cost, or to hit the space of digitalization
• Must be able to present, partner with and influence Executive Management (Director, VP and C level) from both IT and Business.
• Involved in identifying, shortlisting and selection of solutions and design working jointly with the delivery parties and the Enterprise Architecture team
• Responsible for the end to end portfolios - E2E Solutions, Application Development, Release Management, Service Management – in accordance to define IT strategies
• Have exceptional presentation skills catered for Snr Business and IT management
• Manage supply of resource volume and skillset based on demand – vendor management
• Manage contracts and subcontractors
• Establish and manage the outsourcing processes and mechanism to achieve cost effective solutions from vendors
• Drive solutions and issue resolutions, for escalated issues from vendors as well as those requiring internal discussions
• Manage and govern the budget for outsourced services and Business initiatives.
• Mobilizes others to support change through times of stress and uncertainty.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT, software or computer engineering fields or equivalent
• 10 to 15 years of experience as an IT Project Director/Manager/Program Manager/ for medium to large and complex projects, managing work delivered through multiple third parties delivery team, design and building custom solutions and integrating with package, SaaS or enterprise solutions
• 5+ years' experience in IT architecture principles and IT standards
• Strong experience in managing and influencing multiple business stakeholders, senior management, executive level and vendors
• Ability to keep abreast of the new technologies with a view of implementing them to increase productivity and efficiency of the organization.
• Detailed understanding of the end-to-end software life cycle, operational and support procedures and processes
• Display leadership in action – self-directed and motivated;
• Able to travel as required
