The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead all engineering, maintenance, and utility operations at our manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring high equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and manufacturing excellence while supporting the company's growth objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing engineering strategies, driving TPM and continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing plant performance, and building a high-performing engineering organization. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on productivity, cost efficiency, operational reliability, and long-term manufacturing capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering & Maintenance Leadership
Lead and manage all engineering, maintenance, and utility functions across the manufacturing plant.
Develop engineering strategies that support business objectives, operational efficiency, and production reliability.
Establish performance targets and KPIs for engineering teams and monitor achievement against objectives.
Build and develop a high-performing engineering organization through coaching, training, and leadership.
- Reliability & TPM Excellence
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance systems to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
Reduce machine breakdowns, downtime, and maintenance costs through structured maintenance practices.
Establish OEE improvement initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing performance.
- Equipment Performance & Continuous Improvement
Analyze equipment failures and lead root cause investigations to eliminate recurring issues.
Drive machinery modifications, upgrades, and engineering improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing processes and operational performance.
Identify and implement cost reduction, waste reduction, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Engineering Projects & Capital Investments
Lead engineering projects, including equipment installation, plant improvements, facility upgrades, and expansion initiatives.
Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure successful delivery.
Evaluate new technologies, equipment, and automation opportunities to support future growth.
Ensure engineering projects meet quality, safety, and operational requirements.
- Utilities & Infrastructure Management
Oversee plant utility systems, including electrical systems, water supply, compressed air, and facility infrastructure.
Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of all utilities required for manufacturing operations.
Develop infrastructure improvement plans to support capacity expansion and operational stability.
Monitor utility performance and implement energy efficiency initiatives.
- Spare Parts & Asset Management
Develop and manage spare parts strategies to support equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
Optimize inventory levels and procurement planning for critical maintenance components.
Establish asset management practices to maximize equipment life cycle performance.
Control maintenance-related expenditures while ensuring operational readiness.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational discipline.
Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure engineering processes align with company standards.
Lead corrective and preventive actions arising from audits and compliance reviews.
- Energy Management & Sustainability
Drive energy-saving and sustainability initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
Identify opportunities to reduce utility consumption and operating costs.
Monitor energy performance and implement improvement programs.
Support the company's environmental and sustainability objectives.
- Team & Stakeholder Leadership
Partner closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to achieve business goals.
Act as a key technical advisor to senior management on engineering and manufacturing matters.
Present engineering performance, project updates, and investment proposals to leadership.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering and maintenance functions within manufacturing environments.
Proven experience leading engineering, maintenance, or technical teams.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, TPM, equipment reliability, and process improvement methodologies.
Experience managing engineering projects, facility improvements, and plant infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, planning, and decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

Experience with automation, machinery upgrades, and manufacturing technology implementation.
Professional engineering certifications or related technical qualifications.
