The Soucing & Procurement Analyst is responsible for leading end-to-end sourcing initiatives across assigned commodities, suppliers, and product categories. This role develops and implements supplier strategies, drives commercial negotiations, identifies cost reduction opportunities, and ensures supplier performance in quality, delivery, cost, and innovation. The incumbent will play a key role in strengthening supply chain resilience through supplier optimization, risk management, and global sourcing initiatives, while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration and maintaining compliance with TE Connectivity's procurement standards and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to support business growth, cost competitiveness, and supply chain resilience.
  • Drive supplier strategy, including supplier segmentation, supplier optimization, and supplier consolidation initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply base and mitigate supply risks.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFQ management, quote analysis, supplier selection, and business award processes.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, lead times, MOQ, and long-term supply agreements with suppliers.
  • Deliver cost savings and productivity improvements through Cost Management Programs (CMP), supplier negotiations, and VA/VE initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics related to quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct supplier business reviews and perform supplier risk assessments covering capacity, financial, and geopolitical risks.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams on sourcing strategies and business initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate procurement data management in SAP/ERP systems, including pricing, lead times, Incoterms, and supplier information.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives, including VMI, consignment, and MOQ management.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with TE standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable quality and sustainability standards.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Supplier Management within manufacturing or electronics industries.
  • Proven experience developing and executing supplier sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong experience in RFQ management, commercial evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier selection.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering cost reduction, productivity, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of global sourcing markets, supplier risk management, and supply chain resilience strategies.
  • Experience managing suppliers across multiple regions and working within a global business environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastic molding, metal stamping, precision machining, and plating is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across a global matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
  • Experience in connectors, switchgear, electronics, automotive, or industrial manufacturing is highly preferred.
