Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Software Engineer for our team in Bangkok.

Drive the full software lifecycle—from design to deployment—across ARM and Intel platforms. Beyond core development, you will provide critical technical insights to cross-departmental stakeholders, including Sales and Production, to resolve complex challenges.

The

key

responsibilities include:

• Lead complete engineering work packages—from systems analysis and design to implementation, validation, and site commissioning—ensuring all deliverables meet budget, scope, and timescale targets.
• Provide expert technical guidance for bids and tenders, developing innovative engineering solutions and representing the company in high-level discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Drive the end-to-end development of complex technical products, managing all phases of the product lifecycle within the specific domain to ensure high-performance outcomes.
• Leverage technical expertise to provide accurate cost estimations and project planning, taking full accountability for achieving quality, performance, and financial targets.
• Manage technical subcontractors and lead product demonstrations and trials for internal partners and customers to showcase new technologies and capabilities.

Use your skills to move the world forward

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or a related engineering field., supported by a proven track record in C/C++ development, specifically for embedded devices and Linux environments.
• Deep expertise in developing for embedded targets, including experience with Qt GUI applications, compositors (Wayland), and the Yocto/bitbake build system.
• Proficiency in the IBM Rational SDL & TTCN Suite, GCC/GDB, and modern development environments like VS Code, Git/GitLab, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of network communications and telecommunications standards (GSM-R, 4G, 5G), ideally within the Railway industry.
• Committed to Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and Secure Coding, with experience in automated testing frameworks (Boost, gcov, CppCheck).
