IT Specialist
ที่ProvaWorkplace / End-user IT (Factory and Office)
- Prepare, install, configure, and maintain PCs and laptops, smartphones, and accessories (docks, headsets, screens, keyboards, and similar).
- Support printers and basic office peripherals (installation, connectivity, drivers, and toner or paper coordination where applicable).
- Provide first-level support for Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint usage, Office applications).
- Manage onboarding and offboarding IT tasks (equipment delivery and return, initial setup, basic user guidance).
- Provide a consistent on-site presence across both sites, scheduled as three days per week at the Samut Prakan factory and two days per week at the Sathorn office.
Access management / Identity (basic)
- Handle access requests and password resets following internal processes and approvals.
- Perform basic Active Directory actions (simple account administration, group membership changes, account unlocks, basic mailbox access requests where applicable).
- Apply security best practices (MFA support, account hygiene, least-privilege mindset) and respect internal approval workflows.
Endpoint standards and security baseline (execute and verify)
- Apply and verify the standard endpoint configuration and security baseline provided by Group IT, including confirming the local Administrator account is disabled, Secure Boot is enabled, and automatic screen lock is enforced.
- Deploy operating system and application updates following the Group IT patch management procedure, and report exceptions or failures.
- Apply the standard laptop build or image and the standard device naming convention defined by Group IT.
- Support MFA enrollment and good password practices at the endpoint level.
- Apply physical IT asset tags and support server-room housekeeping at both sites (cable labeling, rack documentation) under guidance from Group IT.
Asset and inventory management
- Maintain an accurate inventory (devices, serial numbers, assignments, replacements, warranty tracking) in the Group ITSM and inventory platform (GLPI), which is provided to local IT.
- Reconcile physical assets against inventory records and ensure all assets carry IT and fixed-asset tags.
Simple application incidents (L1)
- Triage and resolve simple application incidents (standard errors, access issues, basic configuration, cache or reset, first checks) via GLPI.
- Guide users through basic troubleshooting and collect the right information (steps to reproduce, screenshots, impact, device and network context).
- Escalate to Group IT (L2 or the specialized partner) with a clear ticket, logs and evidence, and business impact.
Ticketing, documentation, and service quality
- Receive requests via the ticketing tool (GLPI), email, phone, or walk-up, depending on setup.
- Log every request in the ticketing system with correct categorization and SLA tracking.
- Create and maintain short how-to guides and internal knowledge-base articles for recurring issues.
- Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements (automation, better onboarding checklist, standard images, FAQ), in coordination with Group IT.
Skills and experienceRequired
- 1 to 3 years (or equivalent) of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or workplace support.
- Willingness and ability to work across two sites (Samut Prakan and Sathorn) on a fixed weekly schedule.
- Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), and basic Active Directory user administration (reset, unlock, groups).
- Common office hardware troubleshooting (printers, docking stations, Wi-Fi, drivers).
- Comfortable supporting shopfloor and industrial peripherals at the factory: label printers (for example Zebra), weighing scales (for example Mettler), and handheld or mobile devices.
- Strong customer-service mindset: calm, clear communication, patience, and ownership.
- Ability to prioritize requests and manage multiple tickets.
- Willingness and ability to work across two sites (Samut Prakan and Sathorn) on a fixed weekly schedule.
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (DHCP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
- End-user support for the FortiClient SSL VPN client (connection setup, profile, basic troubleshooting), escalating gateway or policy issues to Group IT.
- Basic familiarity with Aruba wireless and FortiGate VPN from an end-user support perspective, not configuration, which sits with Group IT.
- Experience with endpoint management tools and remote support tools.
- ITIL fundamentals (incident, request, and problem concepts).
- Knowledge of SAGE X3.
- Working English in addition to Thai, to coordinate with Group IT at Head Office.
