• Generate creative and innovative design concepts for accessories, jewelry, and lifestyle products.

• Develop sketches, mood boards, color palettes, and design presentations to effectively communicate concepts.

• Balance aesthetics, functionality, brand identity, and commercial viability throughout the design process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with business objectives and seasonal collections.

Material and Component Selection

• Source and select appropriate materials, components, trims, hardware, gemstones, metals, packaging, and other relevant elements for product development.

• Research new materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance product quality and innovation.

• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure material quality, availability, and cost efficiency.

Technical Design and Product Development

• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and tech packs for manufacturers and suppliers.

• Ensure product designs meet quality standards, safety requirements, and production feasibility.

• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the development process.

Prototype and Sample Development

• Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to develop prototypes and samples.

• Review samples, identify improvements, and provide feedback to achieve design intent and quality expectations.

• Evaluate functionality, durability, comfort, and user experience prior to production approval.

Collection and Project Management

• Support seasonal collection planning and product development timelines.

• Monitor product development milestones to ensure timely delivery from concept to production.

• Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, production, and marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle.

QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Fashion Design, Jewelry Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in accessories, jewelry, lifestyle product design, or related fields.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software.

• Strong understanding of materials, product construction, manufacturing processes, and sourcing.

• Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the product development process.
