The SAT Teacher will provide expert SAT instruction to high school students in one-on-one and group settings. The SAT Teacher will work closely with students to help them reach their test score goals through personalization of lesson plans, close communication with the student’s Crimson team on progress, introducing effective test taking strategies, and assigning homework after each session.

As you gain experience, we may ask you to support part-time tutors by delivering occasional SAT focused training webinars, reviewing session recordings to provide constructive feedback to tutors, and helping to ensure that Crimson’s resources are up to date and in line with current testing trends.

What success looks like:

  • Students show meaningful improvement in SAT practice and official test scores, with tutor meeting 80% of student ‘expected improvement’ goals (which are based on averages)
  • Effective communication with students and Crimson team, providing regular progress updates.
  • Impeccable data tracking of student progress on our SAT practice test platform.
  • Strong collaboration with the SAT team, sharing insights and strategies for continuous program improvement.
  • Up-to-date on changes to the SAT exams and testing strategies.

How you’ll know you’re crushing it (KPI’s):

  • Student SAT scores consistently meet or exceed expected improvements.
  • Positive feedback from students, parents, and Crimson colleagues.
  • You provide feedback to the SAT team and help improve the product for all tutors and students.

What skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably from a Top 30 US university.
  • Official Digital SAT score in the 99th percentile (1520+).
  • Preferred: Proven experience in SAT instruction with a record of helping students achieve score improvements.

  • Strong knowledge of all SAT content areas: Math, Reading, and Writing, with awareness of current test updates.
  • Ability to work with students across different regions and cultures.
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and conduct engaging sessions with students and part-time tutors.
  • Familiarity with digital teaching and training platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to supporting tutor development.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of ACT or other standardized test prep
