Role SummaryWe are looking for a Lead Solution Architect to set the technical direction for large-scale retail and enterprise platforms across the CP ALL Group. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will own end-to-end solution designs, arbitrate the trade-offs that delivery teams cannot resolve on their own, and raise the architectural standard of the wider engineering organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture Strategy & Governance· Define target-state architecture and multi-year technology roadmaps for assigned business domains, aligned to CP ALL Group strategy and Gosoft's enterprise architecture principles.

• Establish and maintain architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns and technology guardrails; keep them current as the landscape evolves.

• Chair or contribute to the Architecture Review Board — review and approve solution designs, ensuring compliance with security, data-privacy (PDPA), regulatory and operational requirements.

• Own the technology radar: evaluate emerging platforms and vendors, run proofs of concept, and make evidence-based adopt / trial / hold recommendations.

• Actively manage technical debt — maintain a visible register, quantify its business impact, and secure funding for remediation within the delivery portfolio.

Solution Design & Delivery· Lead end-to-end architecture for complex, cross-domain programmes: requirement analysis, solution options, trade-off analysis, high-level and detailed design, and non-functional requirements.

• Produce clear architecture artefacts — context and container diagrams, sequence flows, data models, integration contracts, deployment topologies and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

• Define non-functional requirements (availability, scalability, latency, RPO/RTO, observability, security) and validate that delivered solutions meet them under peak retail load.

• Remain hands-on where it matters: prototype critical components, review code and infrastructure-as-code at key checkpoints, and troubleshoot high-severity production architecture issues.

• Partner with delivery leads on estimation, sequencing, dependency management and release strategy; keep architecture decisions in step with delivery reality.

Retail, Commerce & Enterprise Systems· Architect solutions across the retail value chain — POS and store systems, omnichannel commerce, order management, delivery and fulfilment, loyalty, payments, merchandising, supply chain and ERP.

• Design for the operational realities of a 15,000-store estate: intermittent connectivity, edge and offline-first store systems, phased nationwide rollout, and zero-downtime migration from legacy platforms.

• Lead modernisation of legacy and monolithic systems, defining pragmatic decomposition, strangler-pattern migration and coexistence strategies.

• Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and lead technical due diligence on vendor and package solutions, including commercial and lock-in considerations.

Cloud, Platform & Integration· Define cloud and hybrid architecture patterns across public cloud and Gosoft's Tier IV data centre, including workload placement, resilience, disaster recovery and cost optimisation (FinOps).

• Architect cloud-native and microservices solutions using containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift), service mesh, and event-driven patterns with Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms.

• Own the enterprise integration and API strategy — API gateway and management, REST/GraphQL/gRPC standards, messaging, and canonical data contracts between domains.

• Embed DevSecOps and platform-engineering practice: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, progressive delivery, observability, and security scanning across the SDLC.

• Design for security by default: zero-trust principles, identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, and secure-by-design review of every solution.

Data & AI· Architect enterprise data platforms — data lakehouse, warehousing, batch and real-time pipelines, master data management and data governance across retail and customer domains.

• Define architecture for analytics, BI and machine-learning workloads, including MLOps pipelines, feature stores, model serving and monitoring.

• Design and govern the adoption of AI and generative-AI capabilities (RAG, agentic workflows, LLM integration), with clear guardrails for data privacy, cost, evaluation and responsible use.

• Ensure data architecture supports PDPA compliance, data lineage, quality and retention requirements end to end.

Qualifications & Experience Required· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.

• 8+ years in software engineering and solution architecture, including at least 3 years in a lead, principal or enterprise architect capacity.

• Demonstrable track record architecting and delivering large-scale, high-availability, high-transaction-volume systems in production.

• Deep expertise across distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, API design and integration patterns.

• Strong hands-on background in at least one major stack (Java/Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, Go or Python) and the ability to review code credibly.

• Production experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), containers and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm or equivalent).

• Solid grounding in data architecture — relational and NoSQL databases, streaming (Kafka), data warehousing/lakehouse, and modern data pipeline design.

• Working knowledge of security architecture, identity and access management, and Thailand's PDPA and related regulatory requirements.

• Proven ability to produce clear architecture documentation and to influence stakeholders from engineer to executive level.

• Professional working proficiency in English and Thai.
