About the role

The Global Shipping Officer manages and coordinates import shipments from overseas suppliers for ETK Denmark and Thailand, working within the Global Sales Back Office department. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs brokers and internal departments to ensure smooth material and product flow.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coordinate import shipments from overseas suppliers global for ETK Denmark and Thailand

• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs brokers and internal departments

• Prepare and verify import documents, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Air Waybill and related documents

• Follow up import shipment status from order confirmation until goods are received at destination

• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure import documentation complies with company and regulatory requirements

• Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve delays or issues affecting delivery

• Check and control import costs, freight charges and other related expenses

• Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to improve import processes

• Maintain accurate records and reports related to import activities

• Handle problems and unexpected situations related to import shipments and coordinate with relevant parties to find solutions

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Business, Business Administration or related fields

• 3-5 years of experience in Import/Export, Logistics or Supply Chain

• Good understanding of import procedures, customs clearance and international shipping

• Experience in coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers

• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good coordination, problem-solving and follow-up skills

• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with different priorities

• Good analytical and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Good knowledge and experience in handling battery shipments and Dangerous Goods (DG) including relevant regulations, documentation, packaging, labeling and transportation requirements
