About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Food Engineer, Process Engineer) to join our team in Prawet, Bangkok on a full-time, hybrid work basis. This is a strategic position that will be pivotal in driving the design and development of food processing solutions and engineering systems. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to design, optimise, and implement food engineering processes and systems that meet industry standards and client requirements. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to the success of high-profile projects whilst maintaining a flexible working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop food processing systems, equipment, and processes that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements

• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new food engineering projects and process improvements

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for manufacturing and installation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and project management to ensure successful project delivery

• Optimise existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality

• Perform calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and ensure operational safety and performance

• Conduct or supervise testing and commissioning of food processing equipment and systems

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and design teams

• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure quality standards and timely delivery of components and services

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in food engineering, process engineering, or related field

• Proven expertise in food processing system design, process optimisation, and equipment selection

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations (such as HACCP, GMP), and industry best practices

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering simulation tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure

• Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

• Leadership experience and proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members

• Familiarity with food industry equipment, technologies, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable

• Professional registration or membership with engineering bodies is advantageous
