Site Management & Infrastructure Execution
- Managing and controlling the daily construction operations of the Water Treatment Plant, Waterworks, or related water infrastructure projects.
- Coordinating with stakeholders, clients, consultants, and government agencies (e.g., Industrial Estate Authorities, local municipalities) to ensure smooth site operations, permit approvals, and full compliance with engineering regulations.
- Managing site resources, including construction materials, heavy machinery, tools, and manpower, to achieve maximum utilization, efficiency, and safety.
- Planning, budgeting, monitoring, and controlling the site construction budget, resource allocation, and material waste management.
- Instructing, controlling, and managing site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and material suppliers to ensure construction deliverables meet project specifications.
Project Construction & Control
- Managing and propelling the plant construction project to successful completion, ensuring high quality, strict adherence to schedule, budget efficiency, health, safety, environment (HSE), and client satisfaction.
- Defining time schedules (Baseline & Look-ahead Schedule) for site erection and safeguarding the required level of engineering quality throughout civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
- Overseeing and controlling civil works (e.g., concrete water-retaining structures, clarifiers,
- reservoirs) and mechanical/piping installations (e.g., RO/UF skids, pumps, chemical dosing, high-pressure piping) in accordance with the project timeframe.
- Organizing daily Toolbox Talks to keep all site teams and subcontractors coordinated, updated on daily construction tasks, and strictly aligned with HSE regulations, while monitoring related QA/QC and site documentation.
- Instructing, controlling, and managing personnel at the site, subcontractors, and logistics/transportation companies during equipment delivery and erection phases.
- Supporting the Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager in contract management, variation orders (VO) evaluation, and claim management towards clients and subcontractors.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in site management or construction management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management level.
- Experience in the construction, erection, and commissioning of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Waterworks, or large-scale industrial piping/pumping systems is preferred.
- Experience in management of project scope, cost, construction schedules, and vendors/subcontractors under varied contract arrangements (e.g., EPC, Turnkey).
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction planning tools and engineering software, including MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques, water-retaining structures, piping hydraulics, process & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and strong contractual knowledge.
- Strong leadership experiences, management skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and the ability to manage diverse site teams.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel/ work upcountry and abroad.
