Job Responsibilities:

The candidate will be a member of UOB Thailand’s Corporate Sustainability Office. The main responsibilities of this role will include:

• Drive disclosure and reporting of UOB Thailand’s Sustainability agenda across mediums, ensuring alignment to relevant standards and frameworks.
• Support in articulating UOB Thailand’s strategy and performance across the group internally and externally and establish UOB Thailand as a thought leader in sustainability while executing UOB Thailand’s Sustainability Roadmap.
• Support to collaborate with internal corporate functions on the development and implementation of relevant sustainability frameworks, policies, procedures and initiatives to drive the achievement of corporate sustainability targets;
• Co-owns the operational decarbonisation strategy for the Group together with Corporate Real Estate Services to assess and verify environmental performance annually, drive improvements in energy efficiency
• Prepare external and internal stakeholder engagement and communication editorials, aligning with Corporate Communications team.
• Contribute to the development of sustainability-related communications and marketing material, opinion pieces, editorials, etc.
• Support in developing content and execute programmes and initiatives across the bank to build stakeholders’ deeper appreciation of how sustainability is embedded into the business.
• Support for training programmes development to deepen awareness and understanding of sustainability across the Group;
• Supports the Bank’s Sustainability Committee and associated Working Groups by enabling informed decision-making;
• Develops and executes the bank’s Sustainability Report, ensuring alignment to relevant standards and frameworks;
• Oversees company performance across a range of ESG ratings, rankings and indices which are of interest to institutional investors;
• Conducts regular benchmarking and keeps abreast of evolving trends and regulations;
• Drive UOB Thailand’s performance across local and global ESG benchmarks;
• Provide support in business management for Corporate Sustainability Office.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experiences with at least an undergraduate degree in environmental management, environmental science, sustainability, or related field from a recognised university;
• Keen understanding of and interest in global, regional and local sustainability trends and developments;
• Strong communications and writing skills with the ability to interpret and translate strategic concepts into concise and meaningful narratives;
• Motivated with keen eye for details and passion for accuracy;
• Self-starter and strategic thinker, with strong project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
• Experience in sustainability reporting and/or communications will be an advantage;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Thai;
• Skilled at collaborating with teams to design, build, evaluate, support and improve a range of programmes and initiatives;
• Familiarity with emissions-related standards and frameworks, including the GHG Protocol, PCAF Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard, ISO 14064, and the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures;
• Familiarity with carbon calculations with tools such as GHG protocol is a plus;
• Exposure to the tools, principles and methodologies used to quantify environmental and social performance and impact.
