• Provide accurate, impartial consecutive interpretation during culinary classes, demonstrations, and operational briefings.
• Interpret confidently between English, Thai, and/or French, ensuring culinary techniques, recipe instructions, food-safety guidance, and chef feedback are communicated clearly.
• Arrive 15-30 minutes before each session to review recipes, technical terms, class objectives, and key instructions with the chef instructor.
• Support smooth communication between chefs, students, and staff, while escalating technical culinary questions to the chef when appropriate.
• Communicate all safety instructions and potential hazards immediately and accurately.
• Maintain professional standards in a working kitchen, including proper uniform, safety shoes, hygiene practices, and clear walkways.
• What We re Looking For.
• Professional-level fluency in English and Thai; French language capability is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in live consecutive interpretation, ideally in culinary arts, hospitality, education, events, or other fast-paced professional settings.
• Strong knowledge of culinary vocabulary, cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety terminology.
• Ability to listen actively, interpret accurately under pressure, and communicate with clarity, confidence, and cultural sensitivity.
• Reliable, punctual, well-presented, and comfortable working on-site in a professional teaching kitchen.
