AVP, Big C Mini Fresh Food Merchandise

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assortment & Category Development


- Develop and optimize fresh food assortments aligned with market trends and customer preferences.


- Create and implement category concepts that differentiate Big C Mini from competitors.


- Identify and launch new product development opportunities to drive traffic and sales.


- Track progress and ensure all assortment development tasks are executed on schedule.

2. Market & Competitor Insights


- Conduct continuous market analysis to identify opportunities and risks in the fresh food landscape.


- Benchmark competitors’ fresh food strategies and identify differentiating factors for Big C Mini.

3. Category & Performance Analysis


- Analyze category performance (sales, margin, productivity, and profitability) to inform strategic decisions.


- Monitor KPIs by product and category, adjusting strategy based on performance and market feedback.

4. Store Layout & Blueprint Development


- Lead the design and enhancement of store blueprints and layouts to improve customer flow, visibility, and sales productivity.


- Ensure store layouts are consistent with category strategies and operational efficiency.

5. Loss & Shrinkage Control


- Establish and oversee loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage across fresh food categories.

Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with control measures.

Qualifications


- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Food Science, Retail Management, or related field.


- 10+ years of experience in merchandising, category management, or fresh food business development, preferably in retail or FMCG.


- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.


- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


- Deep knowledge of fresh food categories and customer trends in convenience or supermarket formats.
