The Great Room seeks an experienced Accounting Manager who can provide accounting and finance oversight, leadership, and full financial accounting for vibrant co-working environments in Bangkok.

As Accounting Manager, you will be independently responsible for the full financial accounting function within Bangkok. You are be the guardian who keeps timely and accurate books as related to the Bangkok entity as well the parent company based in Singapore.

This position requires a high level of intellectual rigour and integrity of the highest order. You will possess a passion for process, structure and a keen eye for detail. A proven track record managing operational finance, financial modeling, and full accounting competencies are key. The Accounting Manager understands the instrumental role that finance and accounting plays in business success and enjoys being part of a fast-moving and dynamic team. You report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Country General Manager (GM).

  • Build our Financial System
  • Ensuring timely and cost effective financial management through effective management and sound advice to key stakeholders

  • Design, implement, and monitor financial systems and controls for the company's holding company and the entity
  • Manage the Office's cash flows within available facilities, providing appropriate reporting to CFO and Executive Management. 

  • Be the internal auditor of the accounting function for the Office 

  • Preparation of financial reports for analysis and decision making
  • Monthly variance analysis & forecast preparation
  • Spearhead and Finesse Growth
  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer to ensure that the organisation's financial affairs and assets are well managed, that costs are controlled effectively and resources are fully aligned behind strategic and operational priorities. 

  • Collaborate for Excellence
  • Process the monthly payroll and claims through our HR software
  • Prepares and submits the monthly contribution of employer and employees' to Social Security Fund
  • Completes annual submission of employees' income according to local revenue regulations (ie. PIT etc.)
  • Provide sound accounting solutions/advice to other department
  • Direct with Charisma
  • Hire, manage and motivate the Accounting Officer, serving as a coach and be a team player
  • Be a force of nature that pushes boundaries, possibilities, quality and deadlines by always being warm but demanding in a professional manner. Maintain a calm disposition, even (and especially) during stressful situations. Be optimistic and help other stakeholders and consultants do so as well.
  • Be a Guardian
  • Being accountable to the CFO on all financial control matters across The Great Room
  • Liaise with group external auditors on behalf of CFO 

  • Ensuring compliance with and advice on group financial and management accounting policies and procedures 

  • Ensuring compliance with and providing advice on group treasury/reserves/banking policy and asset management 

  • Manage the Group's statutory taxation obligations (ie. Income Tax, VAT, etc.), with responsibility for preparation and submission
  • Stay up to date and comply with regulatory changes and requirements specific to the local regulations
  • The accounting guru with 5 years of experience in full set of accounts
  • Possess excellent technical knowledge and practical experience of transactional accounting and operational finance
  • Familiar with accounting systems such as XERO, Sun System, Oracle, SAP etc.
  • Someone who is ready to get their hands dirty and understands that devil is in the details
  • Gets excited about working with numbers and numerous people across cultures day to day
  • Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented
  • Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a 'can do' attitude
  • Finds it easy to bridge corporate and start-up culture
  • Fluent (both written and spoken) in English and Thai
