Job Overview

LEGAL COUNSEL I - COMMERCIAL will provide commercial legal support to DDN's business and manufacturing operations in Thailand and, as needed, support other Southeast Asia operations.

The role will work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams, including Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, HR and other functions, providing practical and business-oriented legal advice on day-to-day commercial, contractual and operational matters.

The scope of responsibility and level of independence will be aligned with the candidate's experience - from supporting day-to-day matters with guidance from regional Legal, to independently managing commercial matters for the Thailand operations and serving as the primary local legal contact for the business. In all cases, the role will work closely with regional and global Legal colleagues on complex or specialized issues.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) or equivalent.

• Qualified lawyer licensed to practice in Thailand.

• 3-7 years of relevant legal experience in commercial law, corporate law and/or commercial contracting; title and level to be determined based on the candidate's experience.

• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.

• Strong knowledge of Thai commercial and corporate laws.

• Fluent in Thai and English; Chinese language capability is strongly preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in supporting multinational companies and manufacturing operations is preferred.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work with an appropriate level of independence based on experience, and to collaborate closely with regional Legal and cross-functional teams.
