About the role

The Assistant/Business Development Manager – Thailand will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding Sheffield's presence in the Thai market. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, securing manpower and recruitment contracts, and establishing partnerships that support the company's long-term growth strategy. The successful candidate will play a

key role

in promoting Sheffield's recruitment, manpower supply, project staffing, and workforce management services across Renewable Energy, Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas, Marine, EPC, Construction, Manufacturing, and related industries.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute Sheffield's business development strategy for the Thai market.

  • Conduct detailed industry and market research for identifying and developing new clients' accounts through cold calls and visits.
  • Visit prospective and new clients to offer company's full range of services.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across target industries, including qualifying leads generated by market news, ads and other promotional activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential new clients, EPC contractors, developers, OEMs, operators, and government-linked organizations.
  • Generate new recruitment and manpower supply opportunities for permanent, contract, and project-based staffing.
  • Lead contract negotiations and support bid and tender submissions.
  • Prepare both technical and commercial proposals for tender.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up and closing of sales.
  • Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure timely delivery of qualified candidates.

About you

  • Minimally a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline from a reputable University.
  • Minimum 4 - 7 years of business development, sales, or account management experience.
  • Proven track record in developing new business and managing key client accounts.
  • Experience within recruitment, staffing, manpower supply, engineering services, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Thailand's business environment and labour market.
  • Excellent business development and sales skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
  • Ability to prepare commercial proposals and participate in tender submissions.
  • Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and presentation skills.
