• Developing innovative visual concepts and creative directions for advertising campaigns across all media channels including digital, print, broadcast, and out-of-home advertising.
• Leading brainstorming sessions and creative workshops with cross-functional teams to generate breakthrough ideas and solutions.
• Creating mood boards, storyboards, and visual presentations to communicate creative concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborating closely with copywriters, strategists, and account managers to ensure cohesive and impactful campaign execution.
• Art directing photoshoots, video productions, and other content creation activities to ensure visual excellence and brand consistency.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards of creativity and design quality.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior art directors and designers, fostering their professional development and creative growth.
• Staying abreast of design trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to keep campaigns fresh and competitive.
• Presenting creative work to clients and defending creative concepts with strategic rationale.
• Ensuring all creative outputs align with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and client requirements.
• What we're looking for.
• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in art direction, preferably within advertising agencies or creative environments.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative work across various mediums and campaign types, with measurable business impact.
• Advanced proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and familiarity with prototyping and motion design tools.
• Deep understanding of visual design principles, typography, colour theory, and composition.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire creative teams, with experience in mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate strategic briefs into compelling visual solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts persuasively to both internal teams and clients.
• Experience in art directing across multiple disciplines including digital, print, video, and experiential marketing.
• Knowledge of current design trends, advertising standards, and emerging technologies in the creative industry.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and juggle multiple projects effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
