Job Purpose

To support PTTEP’s decarbonization strategy by analyzing climate-related policies, assessing climate risks and driving emissions forecasting and performance tracking.

The role ensures alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements while enabling effective implementation of climate management frameworks across the
organization.

  • Climate policy and regulation;
    o Monitor and assess impact of evolving climate policy and regulation to PTTEP, including proposing carbon pricing scenarios.
    o Drive readiness for emerging climate regulations and standards.
  • Climate risks assessment and management;
    o Conduct a Climate Risk Assessment Study (physical and business impacts).
    o Facilitate risk owners in developing corresponding climate risk management plan.
    o Consolidate information into standardized financial reporting under IFRS S2.
  • Execute corporate emissions forecasting, conduct analysis to support target setting, and advance decarbonization roadmap through KPIs setting, monitoring and budget consolidation.
  • Perform peer benchmarking and environmental scans (e.g. greenwashing, global climate initiatives, carbon credit market development) to validate decarbonization and related communications.
  • Maintain and embed climate management framework into company processes, supporting decarbonization implementation across functions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in one of the following fields:
    o Environmental Science / Energy Systems
    o Sustainability / Climate Change / Sustainable Development
    o Engineering in any Fields Economics / Finance (with focus on environmental or energy economics)
  • A Master’s Degree in Climate Policy, Sustainable Energy, Environmental Management, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.

Experiences

  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
    o Sustainability / ESG / Climate-related roles
    o Energy industry (oil & gas, renewables, or consulting)
    o Environmental or Climate Policy Analysis
    o Carbon accounting, emissions analysis, or climate risk assessment
  • Experience in financial or sustainability reporting frameworks is preferred.
