Regional Game Project Manager
atPlayPark
Role Purpose:
Playpark is seeking a delivery-focused Regional Game Project Manager with hands-on mobile game industry experience to own the end-to-end execution of our mobile game publishing projects across SEA. Sitting at the Centre of a cross-functional matrix, you will be accountable for driving each title from planning through launch and into live operations - ensuring every title is publishing-ready, every KPI is tracked and understood, every stakeholder is aligned, and every risk is surfaced and resolved before it impacts delivery.
You will be the key coordinator between the Regional Business team, our external Developer partners, the internal Technology team, Business Development, and User Acquisition Marketing - translating commercial commitments into structured, trackable, on-time delivery, and turning performance data into clear, actionable insight across SEA markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Delivery: Own the full project lifecycle - define scope, build and maintain delivery plans and timelines, and drive each publishing project from kickoff to live with clear milestones and accountability.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Act as the key coordination point between the Developer, the internal Tech team, and Regional Business team members across SEA, making sure requirements, data, and decisions flow correctly and on time between all parties.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary point of alignment across Regional Business, BD, Tech, and Marketing teams as well as external partners, ensuring shared understanding of scope, priorities, and dependencies.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain a live risk register and drive timely resolution before delivery is affected.
- Launch Readiness Ownership: Own the launch readiness process end-to-end, coordinating all functional sign-offs (product, tech, marketing, store, and payment) to ensure every title meets go-live criteria.
- KPI, MMP & Analytics Oversight: Own the tracking and reporting of core game KPIs (installs, CPI, conversion, retention, DAU/MAU, ARPDAU/ARPPU, LTV, ROAS) across MMP platforms, store consoles, and BI tools; ensure attribution, analytics, and SDK implementations are properly planned, tracked, validated, and aligned with business and reporting requirements across all titles.
- Store Publishing Oversight: Ensure compliance with platform requirements, submission timelines, asset readiness, and launch approvals across the Apple App Store and Google Play, and monitor store-side performance (rankings, ratings, reviews, conversion) post-launch.
- Management Reporting & Escalation: Provide clear, regular status and KPI reporting to leadership; escalate blockers and decisions with the right context and recommended actions.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine project management practices, templates, and tooling to build scalable, repeatable delivery processes across the regional portfolio.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Background: 1+ years of project management experience in the mobile game industry (publishing, live-ops, or development), with hands-on exposure to mobile game publishing and a track record of delivering titles to launch and through live operations.
- Proven experience managing projects within a matrix organization and coordinating across regional or HQ teams, developers, and external partners.
- Game Industry Acumen: Working understanding of the mobile game publishing lifecycle (soft launch, global launch, live-ops) and how product, commercial, and technical decisions interact.
- Technical Fluency:
- KPIs & Analytics: Solid understanding of core mobile game KPIs (installs, CPI, CVR, retention D1/D7/D30, DAU/MAU, ARPDAU/ARPPU, LTV, ROAS) and how to read and act on them.
- SDK & MMP: Working knowledge of mobile attribution and analytics platforms (e.g., AppsFlyer, Adjust, Firebase) and the ability to oversee correct SDK implementation and validation.
- Store Publishing: Hands-on familiarity with Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console - submission, compliance, release management, and store-performance metrics.
- BI & Reporting Tools: Comfortable working with BI/dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) to build, read, and present performance reporting.
- Core Competencies:
- Delivery Discipline: Strong command of project planning, scheduling, and risk management, with a bias for on-time, on-scope execution.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Comfortable acting as the go-between for developers, internal tech teams, and regional business stakeholders across multiple SEA markets, translating technical and data topics into business-relevant language and vice versa.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to align and coordinate diverse cross-border stakeholders and keep them moving in one direction.
- Structured Communication: Clear, concise reporting and escalation that gives leadership the context to decide quickly.
- Agile Learner: Able to quickly grasp the nuances of the game industry and regional product flows with minimal supervision.
- Tools: Proficiency with project and work-management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, or equivalent).
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Business, or a related field.
- Communication: Business-level English essential for regional coordination; working Thai an advantage given the Bangkok base. Business-level Chinese is a plus.
