JOB SCOPE SUMMARY
  • Work with multiple levels of management, serving as the primary conduit for communicating and managing objectives and deliverables between Marriott Global Procurement Strategy, APEC Regional Procurement Operations, AP Finance, Marriott hotels, as well as external suppliers and partners.
  • Work closely with Marriott Group Procurement and implement group procedures and policies across the market.
  • Lead and implement Cluster procurement operations and strategies in close coordination with with Area Director of Finance .
  • Lead strategic sourcing activities for Marriott hotels in the country by way of competitive bidding process, contract negotiation, source procurement, consolidation, strategic partnership with supply partners and so-on..
  • Drive realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in the country
  • Handle multiple demands while keeping a positive, results-focused attitude toward all relevant teams.
  • Adheres to Marriott standardized procurement Methodology with strong governance.
  • Plan and set respective procurement Cluster Yearly Management Business Objectives
  • Support deployment and use of Marriott Approved eProcurement technology in the region, specific responsibilities include project management and data management..


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Specific Duties:

  • Procurement Management
  • Lead the implementation of Country Procurement Strategies to create and implement Supplier Management including sourcing and replenishment.
  • Develop involvement with Marriott hotels' Purchasing team when implementing Cluster Procurement strategy, communicating results and targets.
  • Create and develop Country Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Purchasing and Receiving that clearly defines authority, responsibility, and establishes guidelines.
  • Quality and hygiene product standards are maintained and suppliers are frequent audited , product sample lab tests and yield tests are conducted.
  • Provide support to Marriott hotels' Purchasing team in the country to enhance process effectiveness.
  • Supplier Management
  • Assist the hotels in developing and maintaining an approved suppliers list and supplier governance.
  • Oversee tendering activity in the specification of requirements, requests for proposals, evaluation and supplier qualification.
  • Manage Cluster supplier base and implement Cluster agreement.
  • Control standard of supplier qualification and their product/service for Marriott hotels.
  • Policy Development
  • Facilitate policy development, aligned with Marriott Global Procurement Strategic Sourcing / eProcurement and, AP Regional Operations / Finance.
  • Ensure compliance of the spirit of the procurement policy, across the country through continuous monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
  • Project Management
  • Manage implementation across the hotels that will utilize Marriott Approved eProcurement technology.
  • Responsible to implement project planning, data collection, communication, and ongoing policy, process, and system development.
  • Communication
  • Align requirements and manage expectations and deliverables of Marriott Global Procurement Strategic Sourcing and AP Regional Operations / Finance, the hotels, as well as external suppliers.
  • Work closely with Marriott International Procurement team to understand new product, innovation, policy and improvement.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of Marriott Approved eProcurement technology communications relative to new content, system updates, system outages and policy in alignment with Marriott processes.
  • Ensure involvement of Marriott hotels' Purchasing team when developing & implementing strategies and when implementing Global/Continent/Cluster contracts.
  • Where necessary, with prior intimation to Area Director of finance, communicate with hotel owners or their representative to share procurement process and gain confidence.
  • Process and Technology Development
  • Participate in ongoing process and technology development, including procurement processes as relates to platform, system-related administrative processes, and development queue and user-specific requirements.
  • Data Management and Reporting
  • Manage data collection and ongoing reporting requirements including, hotel level performance/compliance and financial benefit, Cluster Procurement Savings benefit, Cluster contract opportunity identification, and other audience-specific reporting requirements.
  • Drive accuracy of master data on the Cluster procurement, suppliers, contracts & materials.
  • Support APEC initiative of BIG-DATA and ensure hotel wise spend data analytics are collated in the specified formats
  • Training
  • Assess training opportunities, initial and on-going, determine appropriate training strategies/methods, and obtain and/or develop necessary training materials to the hotels' Purchasing team
  • Provide formal and informal training, one-on-one or group-based, to the hotels' Purchasing team on all aspects of procurement operations, compliance, standard guideline, eProcurement system including both functional and technical.
  • Support
  • Support Area Director of Finance, Director of Finance/Financial Controller of the hotels in achieving all team and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Support Cluster Procurement Operations, training, knowledge sharing and events relating to relevant information and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement purchaser issue resolution protocols and standard communications.
  • Follow up implementation of Global/Continent/Cluster contracts & performance.
  • Provide help support and assist suppliers and users with all issues/questions relative to the use and functionality of the platform, including technical issues involving system speed and performance.
  • Coordinate with Marketboomer to prepare, distribute and analyze help support metrics.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Procurement Management or Equivalent required.
  • 12- 15 years of Supply chain & Procurement experience
