Thailand Solar Project Development Manager

Bachelor's degree or above in Solar business, Engineering, or related fields; 3–5 years of 0-1 solar project development experience; rich and deep knowledge of Thailand's renewable energy policies and approval processes (EGAT/MEA/PEA); proven ability to independently negotiate PPAs and drive project execution; fluent English (Chinese preferred).

Key Qualifications

Education & Major

Full-time Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy & Power Engineering, Project Management, International Trade, or related majors.

Master's degree and PMP certification are advantageous.

Work Experience

3–5 years of experience in solar project development,

Demonstrated track record of leading 1–2 solar C&I projects through the full lifecycle—from site survey, negotiation, contract signing, to construction until COD.

Professional Skills

Solid understanding of Thai power regulations, investment promotion policies (BOI), project/equipment leasing, and EIA approval procedures.

Proficient in feasibility studies, financial modeling (IRR/NPV), PPA negotiation, and risk management.

Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (design, engineering, legal,financing) to ensure smooth project internal process.

Language Proficiency

Fluent English (working language).

Chinese is preferred

Soft Skills

Strong cross-cultural communication skills and resilience under pressure.

Willingness to travel frequently.

Proven capability in resource integration and high-level engagement with agencies and utility companies (EGAT/MEA/PEA).

Core Responsibilities

Early-Stage Development

Identify, evaluate, and conduct site surveys for project leads in Thailand; lead the negotiations and compliance assessments.

Permitting & Approvals

Lead project filing, licensing applications, grid-connection approvals, and execution of relevant government documents.

Commercial Negotiation

Organize and lead negotiations with factory owners, EPC companies and utility companies; secure PPA signing and project contracts.

Business Development

Analyze policy trends and market dynamics in Thailand; maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (IPPs, C&I clients, utilities); achieve annual development targets.

Resources

Canditate with C&I project resources will be preferable
