Technology Engineer

- Investigate and collect future technological trends and needs
- Initiate new ideas for new products or new product solution
- Translate new product idea into pilot sample (compounding samples)
- Co-ordinate with Adlab to confirm that compound meet target customers' requirements
- Conduct trial for pilot samples and identify potential new product solution
- Co-ordinate the development and introduction of new grades, participate in customer trials and give technical support to the customer, feedback trial results to all concerned parties in time
Product quality maintenance and improvement
- Be a strong advocate of quality and actively initiate/ support the improvement of product quality and service quality
- Be focal point to co-ordinate customer voice, enquiry with internal support functions
Technical service
- Ensures timely and effective technical support to customers for full satisfaction of using our products
- Resolves problems in application
- Attends on site trials of our products at customer's plant, assists customer in optimizing processing conditions
- Co-ordinates with technical staff in other locations
- Provide technical knowledge training regarding products and application to customers where necessary or appropriate
Complaint handling
- Investigates product and application related complaints from customers, suggests settlement on technical issues. Ensure that the customer is satisfied with handling of the complaint.
Sample management
- Arrange samples to customers for market development, in cost efficient way and follow up sample trial results at customers
Product Stewardship and Intellectual properties
- Protect the company intellectual properties via confidential agreement and non-analysis agreement where appropriate
ISO compliance
- Maintain the document system related to new product design to comply with ISO requirements
Additional Technical Skills / Experience
- Strong experience in polypropylene (PP) processing or application development, particularly in technical compounding for the electrical & electronics (E&E), automotive, wire & cable, and related industries.
- Experience in testing and analyzing polypropylene molded parts for automotive applications is preferred.
- Experience in PP product design and project management for automotive and compounding applications.
- Experience in polymer processing or application development for healthcare applications is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Polymer Science/Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience in polymer processing is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); experience with Statistical techniques is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English communications
