Sr Trade Marketing Executive

Job Purpose:

Overseeing a team of analysts and other support staff. Driving category relationships with the large retailers. Becoming a leader in category ranging, pricing and promotions across customer channels. Leading category management projects to optimize ranges and related merchandising.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Creating and developing a long term plan and strategy for development of the category.
  • Evaluate trade promotion requests from account teams to assess financial viability and strategic fit with brand strategy
  • Leading category management projects to optimise ranges and related merchandising.
  • Working alongside customer and national accounts teams to translate customer insights into strategies which drive performance.
  • Paticipate in volume forecasting by brand (Bottle volume) in demand planning meetings (especially new product demand) to understand how plans and targets will change and reach sales target
  • Collaborate with customer planning to make sure that trade objectives reach the sales teams (and are the basis for annual planning)
  • Overseeing a team of analysts and other support staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or relevant field
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as category manager, working closely with Sales department. (FMCG Preferred)
  • Strong analytical abilities in order to analyze customers' purchasing habits and desires and develop effective ways for an organization to engage with business.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer industry
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of data and trends.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Creativity, strong project management abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are valuable for collaborating with colleagues.
