E-commerce Manager

atCentara Hotels & Resorts

Drive growth in Centara's e-commerce and other third party sales business through effective and seamless booking engine experience, partner connectivity and stable technical integration. Optimise revenues through carrying out actionable business insights analysis to identify target markets, segmentation and relevant digital marketing opportunities.

  • Own and manage technical relationship between CHR and web booking engine / distribution manager provider, project managing all development and integration
  • Set targets and timelines for each relevant development
  • Communicate with and mobilise relevant internal and external teams
  • Identify and define critical paths for development projects
  • Observe deadlines
  • Test / verify delivered solutions.
  • Keep track of issues encountered and liaise with CRS provider to ensure resolutions.
  • Technical integration and connectivity specialist for all developments between CHR website / booking engine and additional third party systems and databases (e.g. CRM data, PMS, POS, ESP, mobile app, partner sites)
  • Ensure timely and successful integration of plug-ins to CHR website
  • Form and lead project management team in collaboration with web development unit to complete tasks
  • Own and generate brand.com analytics and business insights
  • Understand management needs for data and set report goals across multiple platforms
  • Establish report formats
  • Prepare reports with actionable insights in a timely manner
  • Evaluate data quality and establish data validity
  • Perform user experience (UX) testing on select hotel websites and booking engine to understand impact of change in information architecture and presentation of rates and content
  • GDS marketing and sales optimisation
  • Onboard new and existing hotels to GDS platforms and ensure availability
  • Review rate loading reports from CRS provider
  • Present GDS marketing opportunities to properties
  • Identify GDS advertising potential partners and liaise with selected agency to create marketing campaigns and campaign evaluation
  • Content and Distribution optimisation
  • Assist to load rate plans for specific Marketing campaigns
  • Ease communication between Digital and Online Distribution
  • Help Web team to maintain websites content (pictures, copywriting, translations)
  • Strategic and results-driven marketing expert with 7+ years' experience in digital marketing and technical services roles.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hotel marketing field
  • Excellent knowledge of technical distribution platforms and integration with travel and hospitality software. Knowledge of Content Management Systems such as WordPress and HTML/CSS coding would be an advantage
  • Analytical thinker with track record in mining complex data to drive business insight. Google Analytics Certified would be an advantage
  • Strong relationship management skills, together with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven team player with ability to positively influence colleagues to drive team results
  • Highly organised with strong project leadership and management skills
  • Degree-educated
  • Computer literate
  • Good health, mature and pleasant personality and neat appearance
