Get to know the role
The role is a balance of strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and operational know-how. As the Merchant Strategy and Execution Lead, you will gain cross-functional exposure: you will report to the Head of Merchants Operations in Thailand, but work across operations, strategy, marketing on a regular basis.
The Day-to-Day Activities
- Drive merchant acquisition by identifying opportunities and, in coordination with the Consumer Growth, Country Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, implementing programs that will drive merchant preference for GrabMart onboarding.
- Manage and lead the entire merchant onboarding process to ensure Grab provides a seamless onboarding and activation experience for all merchant partners. You will be driving business analytics and problem solve issues to ensure the merchant onboarding flow run efficiently and effectively
- Driving growth and Higher ROI. Ensure the partners are growing with you and the company. Take a data driven approach to estimate ROI and KPI analysis for each partner in order to grow basket size and create loyal customers.
- Formulate a strategic framework to analyze business problems, develop hypotheses, and make recommendations
- Responsible to strategize, plan, and monitor our relationship with FMCG principals
- Monitor and analyze our historical performance and provide plan & feedback for business improvement and solutions to issues that we are facing & work with each relevant team to make it happen
The Must-Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Knowledge on SQL or self service analytics is a plus
- Experience in business analysis
- Salesforce & Microsoft Office skills are required (MS. Excel, MS. Word and MS. Powerpoint)
- Have good communication skills, comfortable to work with internal and external team
- A highly independent and individual with excellent team-working skills.
- Quantitative discipline with strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analyses to a wide range of audiences, and translating these to actionable business insights.
- Ability to see the big picture while not losing sight of details.
- Passionate about the social mission and making a positive impact in emerging markets.
