Get to know the role:
This position is to combine research, analytical and operational skills to build model and track market share, also to predict the likely actions of competitors and model scenarios based on possible different options undertaken by competitors.
Competitive intelligence analyst is responsible for producing written reports and communicating the information and recommendations to the managements to make strategic decisions and actions to improve competitiveness, expand market share and improve product market fit.
The day-to-day activities:
  • Gathering and analysing data on topics such as competitor tactics, market share, market position and business opportunities; preparing reports to provide insight on these areas for senior management.
  • Conducting ongoing analysis of key competitors; producing reports and advising on strengths/weaknesses.
  • Monitoring movements and collating information from multiple sources of drivers, merchants, and passengers to produce beneficial and actionable insight for the teams
  • Developing compelling storylines on areas of focus supported by powerful written and visual material.
  • Producing materials on market share and market trends; proactively distributing these.
  • Assisting in the development of a competitive intelligence portal, including managing content such as reports, newsfeeds and updates.
  • Monitoring and reporting on management information via analytics and dashboards.
  • Keeping up to date with activity and trends in relevant sectors and markets.
  • Building networks and stakeholder relationships with relevant teams e.g. market insight & operations teams.

The must haves:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a CI or related role with business or economic background
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of data from multiple sources
  • Strong primary intelligence collection skills (i.e. elicitation skills)
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to comfortably connect with executive leadership
  • Very strong Excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills
