Human Resources Manager / HR Manager

We are looking for a HR manager to lead our HR team. You will report to the Head of HR and take ownership of all HR matters across the company from to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, and learning and development but excluding recruitment.


To perform well in this role you should have experience as an HR manager, or other senior roles in the HR team and up-to-date knowledge of Thai labour law


You will partner with cross-functional teams to embed people strategies, policies and best practices across tools and spaces.


You will create an outstanding experience for our team members by designing and implementing people programs throughout the employee life cycle, systems and processes that scale and drive organizational performance. You will support the creation of tactical, operational and strategic plans that support the company’s strategic plan.


You will have strong people-skills and a service mindset to provide coaching, training and troubleshooting for people-related issues to bring out the best in our team members across the business.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end HR/People processes and policies (excluding recruitment)
  • Execute HR strategies/plans with guidance from Management
  • Provide advice to employees for all people-related matters and act as the voice of the employees
  • Own employee engagement, career development to boost employee happiness
  • Ensure suitable HR systems, practices and processes are in place to enable ongoing growth & expansion
  • Set compensation & benefits and organizational development
  • Implement a People Development strategy for the business
  • Manage the employee life cycle ( employee onboarding, payroll review, benefits administration, and offboarding) to ensure the best experience
  • Manage the HR (less recruitment) & Admin Teams
  • Responsible for HR OperationsOversee office administration; ensure office and facilities are in the good condition, and operates effectively and smoothly
    • Oversee day-to-day HR operations
    • Update and administer human resource policies, procedures, including intranet
    • Ensure all employees are following time tracking processes with high utilization
    • Maintain all employment and payroll records
    • Help ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable laws, rules and policies
    • Ensuring employee personal development, training and executing of the annual appraisal process
    • Prepare an administrative process for promotion / transfer/ movement of employees
    • Coordinate with group health / life insurance providers for renewal, update employee listing, claims
    • Oversee Visa and BOI process for expats


Required Skills & Abilities:

  • 7+ years of human resource experience (Full Spectrum HR, People, Talent) in a startup or lean tech environment, with staff of at least 50+.
  • Understanding of business needs, can work independently and experienced in managing a team of HR professionals to drive process changes, and execute with results.
  • Has worked as a training manager or managed a team of trainers.
  • Has had responsibility for or led the execution of a business wide training plan.
  • Has developed or participated in the development of a training road map / training plan.
  • Reading/writing fluency in English and Thai.
  • Strong EQ capability and can handle Thai and Foreign staff issues.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, compliance and practices and experience in developing, executing and maintaining HR projects and programs.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Keen attention to detail and process development/implementation.
  • Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
  • Experience with web/online systems e.g. HRIS, ATS platforms, Google Workspace.
  • Excellent process orientation and enjoyment in finding the opportunities to create, automate and improve processes to ensure the best delivery of people services. This includes a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver elegant data- and tech-driven people programs and processes.
  • Able and willing to manage upwards.
  • Strong presentation skills and willingness to be an active participant in cross-functional and senior management level meetings.
