AMCHAM Thailand offers an internship program for both Thai and American undergraduate and graduate university students throughout the year (we are unable to consider applicants of other nationalities unless they are dependents of AMCHAM members). The AMCHAM Internship Program is especially beneficial for the undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking to gain experience in administration, corporate public policy, economics, marketing, public relations, and other business related fields.

As a non-profit organization, AMCHAM is not able to offer its interns monetary compensation. However, AMCHAM provides value few other organizations can offer. AMCHAM interns receive exposure to business discussions and planning sessions that are essential for someone who aspires to enter the business world. AMCHAM offers our interns the opportunity to attend most AMCHAM meetings and events, including general membership meetings and committee meetings. At these meetings, interns can meet and network with successful business leaders, as well as hear presentations made by world-class guest speakers from Thailand and abroad.

  • AMCHAM treats all interns with professionalism, and from our interns we expect a professional attitude and a commitment to their work. All interns must be fluent in both spoken and written English. Basic knowledge of the economy and governmental policies are also beneficial. All summer internships are full-time. Fall and spring internships have flexible hours, given that the intern can work at least a fifteen hour work week. Interns are expected to cover transportation costs to and from Thailand (if applicable) and arrange their own accommodations.
