Deputy Head - Corporate Relations

Drive delivery of an integrated Corporate Relations function in Thailand by creating and protecting value, pursuing strategic ambitions, and growing Shell's reputation. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Relations (CR Head), the Deputy Head of Corporate Relations is expected to play a critical role to proactively manage reputation risks, deepen stakeholder network and enhance Shell's societal license to operate in Thailand.
What's the role
- Provide support to CR Head in the delivery of businesses, assets and projects agenda in Thailand
- Co-own the development and the delivery of Corporate Relations Functional Plan in Thailand
- Deepen and expand Shell's sphere of presence and influence via forums, organized events, and traditional and digital media spaces including amongst influencers, online included
- As Deputy Head, represent Shell in, and manage relationship with, relevant industry bodies and committees as agreed with CR Head
- Ensure effective internal communications and engagement programmes and activities to drive internal alignment and strategic change
- Communicate Shell's capabilities, achievements, products/services, and thought leadership to build preference with partners, customers and other stakeholders, external and internal, in Thailand as well as provide counsel around performance, behaviour and communications
- Ensure effective issues and crisis management and action plan including being a key team member in the country's crisis management team
- Champions Safety, Ethics and Compliance, ensuring adequate support for other members of in-country CR team
- In alignment with CR Head, develop people and functional capability in country, maintain and grow talent management plan
What we need from you
- Master's degree in Communication, Business Administration or related
- 10 years of extensive experience in a mix of corporate communications, business and public affairs/strategic communications consultancy
- Substantial experience in managing integrated media relations (traditional and digital) works in Thailand
- Thorough knowledge of relevant energy trends, media/non-government agenda and thought leadership platforms
- Experience in Issues Management and Crisis Management
- Leads by example with a deep personal commitment to always do the right thing
- Excellent in both Thai and English communication skills including writing, speaking, and reading
