Product Manager (IT)

  • The Product Manager has a responsibility to ensure that the Vendor partnership is managed profitably for Ingram Micro.
  • This entails managing the vendor agreement.
  • Close attention in relation to profitability, rebates, co-op, claims, forecasting demand by product code and product group, inventory management, evaluation stock, sales support and any financial benefits available from the vendor is required.
  • The Product Manager has to be cognizant of the market positioning for the Vendor's products and actively seek feedback from customers on pricing, competitors' performance and product trends.
  • Degree/Diploma in Business/Marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a product management and Vendor management role.
  • Experience in product marketing IT role.
  • Excel spread sheeting
  • Ability to calculate gross margins, pricing models
  • Ability to write business and marketing plans
  • Finance for non-financial managers
  • Contract management and negotiating skills
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions of purchase or sale of goods.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Pro-active, resourceful, self-motivated and independent.
  • Good command in communicate both written and spoken English
