About Teams & Roles:
- Tech Engineering Team
the QA of this team will be responsible for working on projects that are currently being developed by DATAx company. Duties will include but are not limited to developing and directing software system validation and testing methods, as well as directing our software programming initiatives. You will also be working closely with cross-functional teams such as Data Engineer team and Data Scientist team. - Data Operations Team
Data QA Engineer in Data Ops Team is responsible to ensure that works are tested to an appropriate standard to maintain data integrity and quality/effectiveness of engineering works deployed into the production environment. You will work closely with data engineers to integrate testing in the project and collaborate with the project-related teams (PM, FA, SA, Developers) and QA teams (QA and Tester) to improve our team's productivity and processes to ensure the data correctness.
Your Responsibility
You will be responsible for designing and developing a complete QA program, designing and running tests on usability, and reporting observations to the design team. You may also interact with clients to understand the requirements of the product.
- Own the QA data engineering role throughout each project and be responsible for data quality
- Analyze user stories and/or use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases/scenarios, and automation scripts when needed
- Perform independent review of testing performed by Developer and other third parties
- Ensure the quality and consistency of test scoping, planning execution, and reporting
- Maintain test plan and keep team members apprised of the project status; provide timely warning of project issues; anticipate and mitigate risks.
- Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors, or bugs, and usability
- Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team including reporting test progress and test status to QA Team lead as well as track issues to related parties
- Provide timely solutions, and documentations
- Interact with both internal and external stakeholders in order to understand product requirements
- Executing all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) (Tech Engineering Team)
- Preparing performance test scenario and executing (Tech Engineering Team)
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems. (Tech Engineering Team)
- Prepare Test data to support test execution on each project (Data Operations Team)
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or another related field
- Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance engineering or similar role with extensive QA data engineering experience, including working on Data Warehouse testing, Datalake testing, and BI tool
- Understanding of key design principles
- Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
- Have experience in developing automation test scripts and execution
- Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs
- Good knowledge of programming languages particularly in SQL and statistical knowledge
- Strong experience in Data testing – Good to advance level in technical skills in SQL, Unix command, and Database Management System
- Proven experience developing and implementing QA plans
- Ability to work on cross-functional units with excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good team player and Service Mind
