Job Description
- Conduct research on technology trends in banking and finance, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Evaluate new hardware and software solutions to ensure they meet the bank’s standards.
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure infrastructure solutions based on best practices, covering both on-premises and cloud environments. Ensure alignment with the bank’s architectural standards and governance requirements.
- Work with Technology Procurement to assess technical specifications and vendor offerings. Support initial project phases by advising on design and architecture for new initiatives, ensuring compatibility with the bank's technology strategy.
- Analyze application portfolios, assess migration feasibility, and design architecture patterns for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure. Ensure seamless integration across environments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, covering both on-premises and cloud environments. Ensure that all infrastructure designs, processes, and standards are well-documented and accessible for reference across teams. Provide guidance and training sessions to the wider infrastructure function, supporting a culture of continuous learning and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of infrastructure design, architectural best practices, and industry standards, with an interest in cloud and on-premises environments
- Strong documentation skills for creating clear, organized technical documents to support knowledge sharing across the infrastructure function
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with problem-solving skills to support infrastructure projects
- Effective communicator and collaborative team player, eager to learn and grow in enterprise architecture and modern technology stacks
