Assistant Indirect Procurement (IP) Manager

Job Purpose: The Assistant Indirect Procurement (IP) Manager envisions to support IP Manager delivering value beyond cost saving to all CHANEL's business units by creating value at every step in the end-to-end source-to-pay process, aiming to protect our brand reputation, mitigate risks, drive process efficiency and cost effectiveness by partnering with different Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement various commodities sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable value in quality, delivery and cost for assigned categories of spend:
a) conduct spend analysis, define categories and assess opportunities to formulate and execute
specific category strategies;
b) lead or co-lead RFX process with BU for assigned spend categories;
c) lead price and contract negotiations to achieve the best value from supplier relationships and
brand protection;
d) govern the project execution in terms of managing project timeline, resource planning,
resolve issues and mitigate risks, etc.;
e) Analyze and develop different KPIs and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
Establish effective partnership with BU via cross-functional team approach:
a) Build trust and credibility across BU community by demonstrating required expertise and
supports in all procurement-related activities;
b) Identify BU's needs and goals, positively align, engage, communicate and influence to achieve desired outcomes;
c) Consolidate and manage internal customers' feedbacks to identify continuous improvement
opportunities.
Build local supplier relationship and performance metrics in Supplier Panel:
a) Conduct supplier on-boarding validation according to the company guidelines and audit
policies;
b) Establish supplier segmentation and evaluation mechanisms to improve supplier relationship,
performance, quality, risk and total cost of ownership;
c) Identify potential contractual terms and conditions improvement opportunities for re-
negotiation.
Enhance S2C/ Coupa user experience, knowledge sharing and communication between APAC IP community and Local BU:
a) Play a market "Super User" role of S2C to provide training, coaching, guidance and change
management to existing and new Coupa end users at local Market;
b) Identify local BU needs and elevate self-service procurement experience to BU;
c) Provide constructive feedback to APAC S2C Process Owner along the maturity of Coupa.
Implement sustainable and responsible procurement strategies and policies in different commodity spend:
a) Incorporate sustainable and responsible procurement mentality and criteria into sourcing and
negotiation strategy;
b) Rollout Ecovadis to monitor the local supplier base;
c) Identify and propose key local suppliers to CSR audit plan;
d) Follow up all action plans for participated suppliers post-CSR audit from time to time;
e) Support any ESG initiatives in future in order to achieve our corporate Sustainability goals.
Manage and mitigate supplier risks of existing Supplier Panel and new suppliers:
a) Leverage BvD Risk Assessment Tool to minimize the Financial and Compliance risks of local
suppliers, specifically those high-risks and high spend suppliers;
b) Conduct all due diligence exercises to ensure suppliers in compliance with CHANEL's
requirements including insurance, data privacy, IT security, etc.

Specifications:
Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or
related disciplines
Work Experiences
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement or other managerial positions at multinational
corporations with focus on category management and/or supplier management
  • Preferably experienced in luxury retail or FMCG industry but not a MUST
Required Competencies
  • In-depth understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) process
  • Strong analytical skill and attentive to details with an intermediate level of Excel skill
  • Solid knowledge/ experience in strategic sourcing/ procurement and commercial & contract
management tools and techniques
  • Experience with any ERP or e-Procurement tools, e.g., Coupa, SAP, Ariba, etc.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skill and capable to establish collaborative relationship with all levels in the company as well as suppliers
  • Be an influencer with impeccable communication skills relate to people, build relationships and
effectively present arguments
  • Strong negotiating skill with proactive and positive attitude
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Thai.
