International Communication Officer

HITAP was established in 2007 as a non-profit research organization under the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. HITAP’s main responsibility is to assess a range of health interventions and technologies to inform national policy in Thailand. Since 2012, HITAP has been requested by international organisations and governments to empower and share experience, both technically and non-technically, on the potential use of HTA to support UHC, especially in low- and middle-income countries. HITAP aims to cultivate public interest and motivate participation from all sectors in society in order to efficiently distribute and allocate the limited resources to fulfill its public objectives.

As a multi-disciplinary HTA organization, HITAP is not only focused on producing the highest standard of research, but it also puts a high priority on knowledge translation and dissemination of our research findings to all stakeholders, including policy makers, health practitioners, the media and the public.

Posting Title:      International Communication Officer

Key responsibilities

  1. Understand and keep updated with the progress of HITAP’s international work, including research, capacity building projects, etc., and extract information as inputs for communication and media campaign through both online and offline communication channels
  2. Responsible for the production communications outputs that are aligned with communication plan for HITAP’s international work by working together with HITAP’s communication teams and our outsourced partners. These include but not limited to instance produce leaflets, short video clips for international meetings
  3. Ensure and monitor the reach of media products produced to target audiences, including plan and implement media campaigns
  4. Facilitate the communication between HITAP’s international team and communications team to ensure a streamlined information sharing for better workflow between and inside the teams
  5. Manage HITAP’s English websites and support in maintaining HITAP’s English social media channel
  6. Manage and provide support to HITAP’s international events and conferences. These include promotion, participations, evaluation, etc.
  7. Work with HITAP international staff and partners to facilitate communications among partners as well as manage channels for communication with partners to support HITAP’s international work to run effectively.

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field is highly preferred. Master’s degree in communications or business is desired. The candidate should have 3 or more years of broad communications experience, preferably in health research or health systems field.
  2. Demonstrated experience managing communications or other projects through a project lifecycle
  3. Experience with internal and external communications, electronic communications, and communications evaluation
  4. Excellent command of spoken and written English
  5. Good command of spoken and written Thai
  6. Solid English writing and editing skills in a variety of styles, for use across different formats
  7. The ability to multi-task and work well under deadline / Must work well in a team, fast-paced, high-energy and deadline-driven environment
  8. Experiences in using computer graphic design program, editing program or able to use web content management systems are preferred
